Rosenberg & Gluck, L.L.P. is happy to present a $2,500 Safe Driving Practices for the Next Generation Scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded to the student applicant who best conveys a meaningful understanding of today’s unsafe driving practices among young drivers. The deadline to submit an application is June 15, 2022.
As personal injury attorneys, the legal team at Rosenberg & Gluck, L.L.P. know that, although texting while driving is extremely unsafe, this is not the only activity that can make it unsafe to be on the road these days. The firm has seen countless injuries from crashes that could have been avoided with simple, safe driving practices.
“The outcomes can be catastrophic, and we would like nothing better than to see fewer of these crash victims,” said Erin Hargis, partner at Rosenberg & Gluck, L.L.C. “We are happy to represent people who have been injured in a crash caused by another person’s negligence, but we would much rather the crash not happen in the first place.”
This was the inspiration and motivation for the Safe Driving Practices for the Next Generation Scholarship. The law firm’s partners agreed that college-bound students would be the ideal source for crafting a strong message on this topic.
“We are calling on the younger drivers who have witnessed unsafe driving practices firsthand amongst their peers to write about one of these behaviors, how it is unsafe, and how younger drivers can address the problem,” said Matthew Bligh, partner at Rosenberg & Gluck, L.L.C. “We think their voice can make a difference.”
This scholarship dovetails perfectly with another award that Rosenberg & Gluck, L.L.C. is offering via its Auto Safety & Technology Scholarship, which focuses on the role that technology plays in distracted driving car accidents.
